The location of the town house is excellent, with easy access to the city centre and all its attractions. the house is well equipped and comfortable, with plenty of room for a party of five. the kitchen has all the necessary utensils for cooking at home, and there is a lovely little outside area for relaxation. Free parking is available, which is a bonus in a city where parking can be expensive.
It would have been nice if there were tongs available in the kitchen.

The location of this town house was perfect, just a short walk to the town centre and all its attractions. It was also great to have parking right outside the house, with a permit provided. The house itself was beautifully decorated and had all the appliances necessary for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail in the kitchen was impressive, with everything we needed for cooking and a selection of teas and coffees provided.
That there was only one toilet for our group of seven, which could be inconvenient at times. the sofa bed was not very comfortable, like most sofa beds tend to be.

This place was perfect for us as party people! We loved having more than just a room and being able to relax in the lounge with coffee. the entire house provided plenty of space and the beds were bliss. the showers were amazing and the apartment was beautifully decorated and very clean. the location was great, just 10 minutes from the city center and with convenient parking available. It was surreal to sit in the evening and stare at the famous landmark through the window.
Felt cozy, nothing too much trouble.

We had a fabulous weekend in this lovely house. The kitchen was well equipped, although I wish I had noticed there was no dishwasher and brought gloves. My daughter loved her comfortable bed, and the provision of a highchair, cot, and kids plates and cutlery was fabulous. The location, within walking distance to York, was brilliant. The host had great communication and the log burner added a lovely vibe to the property. The provision of tea and coffee was also a treat. we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it.

I had a wonderful stay at the Great Town House - Central York. The location was superb, just a 10-minute walk to the town center. The house itself was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything I needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the showers were amazing. I also appreciated the attention to detail, from the hair dryers in every bathroom to the well-equipped kitchen. The property was spotlessly clean, and I was grateful for the supplied cleaning products. Having a parking permit included was a real bonus, as I didn't need to use my car again until I left. I highly recommend this hotel alternative for a fantastic stay in York.
Although my stay was great overall, there were a few minor drawbacks. The kitchen was quite small and poorly equipped, making it a bit challenging to cook for a group.

We had a wonderful stay at the Great Town House - Central. The convenience and comfort of the house were outstanding. Being within walking distance of various amenities, such as groceries and the beautiful Minster, made our stay even more enjoyable. Despite the cold weather in York, the house was warm and cozy, especially with the lovely fireplace. Our university-aged son loved the spacious upstairs room, where he could spread out and work on his class assignments. The house provided the perfect space for our trip to Wales for my brother's wedding. And for me, returning to York after so many years was a sweet and memorable experience.

This hidden gem is a fantastic find in a beautiful city. Its central location makes it a perfect base for exploring and it's within walking distance of all the major attractions. the rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, with fluffy towels and a choice of teas in the kitchen. the blackout curtains ensure a peaceful night's sleep, and the attic room is a cozy den for kids. the owner is prompt and helpful, even providing extra touches like games and juices for children.
The attic room lacks blinds on the windows, which can be a bit of an issue for those sensitive to light.

The location was excellent, just a short walk from the city center and with convenient parking right outside. the house itself was beautifully decorated and the beds were incredibly comfortable. the attic space was a great addition, providing extra peace and space for the kids. We loved the outdoor area with its deck and beautifully decorated summer house. It was a lovely surprise to have tea, coffee, milk, and sugar provided for us, and there was a great selection of beverages to choose from. the host was extremely helpful and contacted us prior to arrival to ensure everything went smoothly. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
It would have been helpful to have gloves for washing dishes. the stairs to the third floor were quite small, which could be tricky for some people.
